Streetlights always burn out When I’m walking underneath Maybe that’s just your funny way of saying “Hi” to me The warm wind wraps around me The birds sing in my ears Call it a coincidence Or maybe you are here It’s better than Being alone Because it’s all Just a rolling of the dice The consequence of life You didn’t say goodbye You said I’ll see down the line The handle on your hammer Where you hands have always been The worn out neck of an old guitar That’s playing perfectly The steering wheel of a beat up car That went from A to B Call it a coincidence I feel you here with me It’s better than Feeling alone Because it’s all Just a rolling of the dice The consequence of life You didn’t say goodbye You said I’ll see down the line Streetlights always burn out When I’m walking underneath Maybe that’s just your funny way Of saying “Hi” to me

I hope it lasts forever I hope it lasts forever I hope it lasts forever I hope it lasts, I hope it lasts I hope it lasts forever The way that you look at me When I fall asleep Watchin’ bad TV Hangin’ ‘round with me Must be such a rainy day Oh, I hope it lasts forever I hope it lasts forever, I hope it lasts forever I hope it lasts, I hope it lasts I hope it lasts forever Get up man Nothing less cool than Just lazin’ around Not doing anything Get the fire relit Be passionate Get up and give all you’ve got left to give You gotta bet the farm this time Put your heart on the line And go all in Oh, I hope it lasts forever I hope it lasts forever, I hope it lasts forever I hope it lasts, I hope it lasts I hope it lasts forever And when the stars come out at night Like a million tiny lights They still don’t shine as bright Oh, I hope it lasts I hope it lasts, I hope it lasts I hope it lasts, I hope it lasts I hope it lasts, I hope it lasts, I hope it lasts, I hope it lasts forever I hope it lasts forever I hope it lasts forever I hope it lasts I hope it last

about

Taking a new direction, the trio ventured into self-production for Lasts Forever after collaborating with notable producers like Howard Redekopp, Marcus Paquin, and Colin Stewart. Recorded live off the floor at Studio Bell, nestled in Calgary's National Music Center, the band had access to an impressive array of gear. Notably, the captivating, fret-buzzing guitar that kicks off the record is none other than Randy Bachman's vintage Stratocaster, channeled through Neil Young's 1958 amp affectionately known as "old nasty."

After capturing the bed tracks, Trevor took the reins, recording all the vocals in the comfort of Murray's basement, jokingly referred to as the Jazz Café. The name pays homage to an old neon sign that emits the only glow in the vocal booth. In this cozy and familiar space, where the band typically spends most of their time jamming, writing and hanging out, Scenic Route to Alaska added the finishing touches to Lasts Forever. The result is an exciting and authentic album that you'll play on repeat.
